October 2018 Newsletter
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
(2 Timothy 3:16–17)
Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings in the precious name of Jesus! Since the beginning of July we have been immersed in the difficulties at the Bible Institute. I remain unable to share much at the moment due to the sensitive nature of the issues. Please know that we very much covet your prayers at this time:
- Please pray for the Board and leadership of the Bible Institute in sorting out some very complex situations that remain.
- Please pray for wisdom as we seek God’s will for our family’s future. God clearly called me to serve at the Bible Institute. At the moment I have no indication that He is yet calling us to leave.
- Please pray that God will uphold and protect our family in the coming weeks and months.
Exciting Family News!
Our oldest daughter Anna was recently engaged to Hannes Beukes, the son of the acting Principal of the Bible Institute. Anna and Hannes have been in a serious relationship for more than a year now. We are very happy and excited for them! Hannes will complete an engineering degree from the University of Cape Town at the end of next month. I first met Hannes in 2015 on a visit from Zambia. Although I am not a prophet, I told Anna when I returned home that that I had met her future husband. It seems I was right!
Support Update
We give thanks to God for providing for our needs. We are also thankful for each and every gift that was given to support our ministry. However, we have a monthly shortfall of more than $450. Our support account remains with a $5,000 deficit. Please pray that our current needs will also be met.
It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. (Lamentations 3:26)
Blessings in Christ,
Tim & Kristina Churchill
