August 2018 Newsletter
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:8)
Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings in the precious name of Jesus! I have kept this month’s newsletter short intentionally. Please take a few moments to read our update so that you can pray for us. We value your prayers more than ever at this time.
Important Update from the Bible Institute
For the past month I have spent much time dealing with difficult issues at the Bible Institute. I am not able to share too many details at the moment, but I can say that the issues have affected nearly everyone at BI in deeply personal ways. I have spent many hours counselling students, talking to faculty and staff, and in various meetings. Kristina has also been involved in speaking to many of the single female students who are going through difficult times at the moment.
Please be in prayer for the Bible Institute as we seek to minister to the needs of staff and students in a particularly challenging time.
Please pray for wisdom as we deal with a number of very complicated situations.
Please pray that God will give us opportunities for rest as there have been many long days (and nights) recently.
Support Update
As we reported last month, we have God at work in meeting our financial needs. However, we do still have a monthly shortfall of more than $250. Our support account is close to $5,000 below where it needs to be, which I was reminded of again this month by our SIM Canada administrators. In the past God has always provided what we need through the generous gifts of our faithful supporters.
Please pray that our current needs will also be met.
God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (1 Cor. 1:9)
Blessings in Christ,
Tim & Kristina Churchill
