February 2016 Newsletter

Dear Friends and Family,

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)

Greetings in the name of the One who died for us all! It is our joy to serve Him here in Ndola, Zambia at Evangelical University. By God’s grace we are sustained by your prayers, and by the many gifts were given to support our ministry.  For all of these we say “Thank you!”

Ghosts in the Library

Recently several students came to my office asking how they could purchase a copy of my book. When I asked why they were interested one of them said, “Because we know you. You’re not like all the ghosts in the library!”

Soon we will be gone but my book will remain here, and I will become just another ghost in the library. But my prayer is that the time I’ve spent teaching my students in the classroom and mentoring them outside the classroom will continue to be used by God as they minister throughout Zambia.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for the ministry at Evangelical University. Many students are struggling to pay their fees, so pray that God will provide for their needs.
  • Pray for Sarah. Although her neck has been improving, we are still considering if we should seek further medical attention in South Africa.
  • Pray for John and Rebecca as they study and prepare for marriage.
  • Pray for Anna as she studies by distance, and for Sarah and Katie as they home school.
  • Please pray for our preparations to leave Zambia at the end of April, for our home assignment, and for our plans to begin ministry in South Africa in August.

“In the time of my favour I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you” (Isaiah 49:8)

Blessings in Christ,
