August 2014 Newsletter

Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy! For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth! – Psalm 47:1-2 NIV

Dear Friends and Family,

Greetings from Hungary! We have completed our first term in Zambia and are taking the long route back to St. John’s. We are currently in Hungary visiting with Kristina’s parents, sister and brother-in-law, and other family members. We will travel to Toronto on August 18 for debriefing at SIM Canada’s head office, finally arriving in St. John’s on August 21.

My brother-in-law asked if we had accomplished our objectives during this term. The simple answer is yes, and more! We settled into our home and adjusted to life in another culture. By God’s grace my involvement has been very rewarding. Kristina and the girls have formed relationships at TCCA and at several local orphanages. We can see myriad ways that God has blessed us in Zambia. We look forward to sharing our experiences with many of you when we return.

Prayer Requests

  • Continue to pray for TCCA, not only for our students and staff but also that God will raise up new students for the new academic year which begins in January 2015.
  • Pray for journeying mercies as we travel.
  • Pray for John as he writes final exams this week and begins a new work term later in the month.

Support Update

We are thankful for each of the gifts we received over the past month. May God richly repay you for your kindness toward us! We do remain a little short both in our ongoing expenses and our one-time needs, especially as we travel, but we trust that God will provide as He always has.

Blessings in Christ,

Tim & Kristina Churchill
