December 2013 Newsletter

Dear Friends and Family,

We’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed and Happy New Year from Zambia! As we look back on the past year we can see that God has been very good to us, as we know he has been to you as well. We would like to thank you for your faithful prayers for us, and also for the many gifts we received throughout the year in support of ministry at the Theological College of Central Africa.

TCCA Graduation

TCCA’s 2013 graduation took place on Saturday, December 7. It was a great success by all accounts. For the first time ever the graduation was on TCCA’s campus, rather than at one of the local churches. The graduating   class had invited the President of Zambia to attend as the guest of honour. To our great surprise he accepted the invitation. Unfortunately, issues of state arose at the last minute so a representative from the President’s office was sent in his place. Many other VIPs did attend, including the Executive Director and Chair of the Board of Governors from the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (representing more than 200 evangelical denominations and para-church organizations).

This year’s graduating class was special to me. I had met and taught many of the graduates during our first visit to Zambia in 2010. It is so encouraging to see how much they’ve matured and grown since my first encounter with them three years ago. Even though they will be greatly missed at TCCA, it is exciting to hear how God has already opened doors of ministry for most of them.

Prayer Requests

Join us in praying for this year’s graduates, that they will make a good transition from studying to full-time ministry, and for next year’s incoming students, that God will provide financial support those who are hoping to begin their studies in January. Pray that God will meet TCCA’s financial needs as we face a number of challenges heading into the new year.

The past term has been productive but very busy. Please pray that the break between terms will be a time of refreshing for our family. Pray for John as he will be starting his first work term in January.

Blessings in Christ,

Tim & Kristina Churchill
