Dear Partners and Friends,

We are truly thankful for your prayers that have sustained us during the past year, and for the many generous gifts we have received. We’re not in Zambia yet, as you can see from the picture (and no, Katie has’t shrunk) – but we are getting closer. We have received commitments for 92% of our ongoing monthly support.

Visit to the SIM Canada head office

Kristina and I flew to Toronto on February 27 and spent the next two days getting to meet the SIM Canada staff that we’d previously only known by e-mail and Skype. It was a busy but  productive time that helped bring clarity to the various options as we prepare to make plans to move to Zambia.

Setting a Departure Date

We are now in the process of fixing a date for our departure. While we had hoped to be in Ndola in time to start teaching at TCCA in May, it now looks like June will be a more realistic goal. We need a little extra time to ensure that 100% of our support will be in place and to work out the other logistics including housing in Ndola.

Prayer requests

  • Please pray that God will guide us in setting a departure date
  • Please pray that commitments for the remaining support needs with be received soon
  • Please pray that our upcoming presentations will be fruitful (see the prayer requests page on our website for an updated list)
