December 2011 Newsletter

Dear Partners and Friends,

Joyous Christmas greetings! “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel,” which means “God with us” (Matthew 1:23, NIV).

Your prayers have helped to sustain us as we’ve gone through some difficult health concerns recently. We continue to wait patiently on the Lord to provide for our needs so that we can move to Zambia soon. We have currently received commitments for about 80% of our ongoing budget.

News from November

We were blessed by our time at the St. John’s Chinese Church on November 13. The following weekend I (Tim) had the opportunity to visit Goose Bay, Labrador, and shared our ministry plans at Northern Cross Community Church on November 20. Visit our website for more on this special trip.

Items for Prayer

  • Thank you for praying for my health problems over the past few weeks (see our blog for more details). Things seem to have settled down now. We give thanks to God for his faithfulness during this time. Please pray that the results from the few remaining tests will be clear so that we can arrive in Zambia in good health.
  • St. Thomas’ Anglican Church is hosting a special event, “Missions Night with the Churchills,” on December 4. Please pray that God will use this time to connect us with new partners. If you live in the St. John’s area please join us in the church auditorium at 7 PM, and invite your friends!

Visit our website at www.timothychurchill.com/SIM for all the latest news items and prayer requests. Our blog, which has been featured on sim.ca for the past few weeks, is a great way to learn more about what’s happening.

Blessings in Christ,

Tim & Kristina Churchill
