September 2011 Newsletter

Dear Partners and Friends,

We give thanks for your faithful prayers and support during the month of August. Support for our ministry continued to grow over the summer. More than 120 people have committed to support us in prayer, and commitments for over 70% of our ongoing monthly support have been promised. We trust that God will provide the remaining support in His timing. Please let us know if you would like more information about how you may partner to support our ministry plans!

Here are the latest news highlights:

  • I attended Oasis, the annual Baptist conference in Atlantic Canada, in Nova Scotia, August 17-20. Elias Mutale, who works for the Convention, is originally from Zambia and attended TCCA a number of years ago. Elias arranged for me to do a presentation for about a dozen pastors who were interested to hear about our ministry plans. I also gave a 10 minute presentation during the Sunday morning service at First Baptist Church in Dartmouth.
  • We made the latest SIM magazine! Request your free copy at the SIM website.
  • I will be making a presentation to the Atlantic Mission Society of the Presbyterian churches in St. John’s on September 13. I am also working with a number of other churches across Newfoundland and Labrador where I hope to make presentations in the near future.
  • MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Our commissioning service is scheduled for the evening of September 18. Jim Longworth, SIM’s Atlantic director, will be with us. Details to follow…

Here are our prayer requests for September:

  • Pray that God will provide for our needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus
  • Pray that God will bless our commissioning service on September 18
  • Pray that God will open doors for more presentations at churches across Newfoundland

Blessings in Christ,
